I've finally finished the first of two quilts from blocks Clare gave me back in November! This one is headed off to a little girl in Georgia, USA after the holiday weekend. The blocks were made by Carol, MN, USA; Susan, UAE; Michelle, OK, USA; Kathy, FL, USA; Lily, Australia; Nancy, IN, USA; Susan, USA; Irene, UK; Heather, KS, USA; and me (Finland). The batting was donated by Linda in Italy and the backing fabric by Tiina in Finland. This was a lot of fun to work on and I'm looking forward to finishing up the second one sooner rather than later!
My inspiration for the 'sashing' came from this quilt.

This quilt is gorgeous!!
I understand from this post that you are helping Clare with the quilts. How wonderful!
The quilt came out great! I'm sure it will be loved here in Georgia!
It's beautiful! And such a picturesque setting in which to photograph it! Didn't know you (Hedgehog) were helping Clare. I recognize a few of those blocks! Fun... where is quilt #17?
Wonderful Clare.
ciao ciao
I'm very happy that one of my blocks is in this lovely quilt and on its way to be loved by a child. Thanks for posting this picture.
